Gorge Circle

The Motatapu Gorge is a spectacular narrow section of the Motatapu River in Wanaka in Central Otago, New Zealand. This pool has been formed where the rock has been scoured out by water and the stillness of the pool contrasts with the river racing by on its way to the lake. It was still enough to float a circle out of the autumn leaves that we collected from a tree growing on the banks.
