In mid summer this extensive wetland area near Miranda on the Thames estuary in Auckland, New Zealand, sometimes dries and cracks. To make the circle we had to place the lichenous rocks we collected without damaging the soft dried mud formations. The soft pink light comes from a beautiful summer sunset.
