Very fine glacial clay from a bay in Lake Wanaka in New Zealand was collected to make ring elements which when dried in the sun were durable enough to carry to this narrow part of the Matukituki River where the water flow was very powerful . The work was photographed from above from a hikers’ swing bridge. The clay had originated from the wearing away of rocks like the one this work is placed on.
